The first floor features a very open floor plan that offers easy access between the multiple living spaces, kitchen and wet bar, and dining room. Guests can enjoy plenty of comfortable seating in the tastefully decorated main living room; this room is spacious and has high ceilings that create an open, inviting space that everyone will love relaxing in. There is a flatscreen TV for your entertainment, as well as plenty of books and games that make perfect for peaceful rainy days. There is another full sitting area right around the bend, complete with a flatscreen TV, making this the perfect vacation home for families or groups! Both spaces have direct access to the wrap-around porch and private pool! The kitchen is massive and is sure to make guests' culinary experiences a breeze. Enjoy top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances along with plenty of counterspace that allows for multiple people to cook simultaneously. There is plenty of seating at both dining tables, as well as additional seating at the kitchen bar.
The master bedroom sits on the first floor and features a king-sized bed, flatscreen TV, window-side seating, and direct access to the wrap-around porch and pool. The master bathroom is very spacious and features 2 vanities, a spa tub, a walk-in shower, and a large walk-in closet. Upstairs, you are met with another sitting room before uncovering the rest of the bedrooms. Bedroom 2 serves as a suite and features 2 queen-sized beds, a flatscreen TV, window seating overlooking the pool, and a large, private bathroom that has a double vanity, a spa tub, and a walk-in shower. Bedroom 3 features two twin beds over full-sized beds and a private bathroom with a shower/tub combination. Bedroom 4 features a king-sized bed along with a flatscreen TV, walk-in closet, and private bathroom with a walk-in shower. Bedroom 5 serves as a second suite and features a king-sized bed, a flatscreen TV, tons of closet space, and a huge private bathroom complete with a spa tub and walk-in shower.
Outside, fun in the sun awaits! The private pool and spa deck are lusciously surrounded by nature to offer the most privacy. Guests can enjoy relaxing poolside in the loungers or perhaps a game of basketball in the pool! There is a gas grill and plenty of space at the outdoor dining tables for everyone. The wrap-around porch has plenty of rocking chairs and makes for the perfect place to sip your morning coffee or have a cocktail on a moonlit night. The Town of Hilton Head Island's 2026 Beach Renourishment Project began on August 6, 2025 at Fish Haul Beach, located off Mitchelville Road on the Island's north end. This vital initiative, part of the Town's long-term beach management program, is undertaken every 8 to 10 years and aims to preserve, protect, and restore Hilton Head's valuable shoreline.
The 2026 renourishment will mirror past efforts (1990, 1997, 2006, 2016) and involves placing approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach-compatible sand across 46,500 feet of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline. Sand will be dredged from offshore shoals and pumped through extensive pipeline systems onto designated beach areas, then shaped by heavy machinery to meet specific design standards.
The $47.5 million project is divided into three phases, with work expected to last until May 2026:

During the renourishment, about 1,000-foot beach segments will be temporarily closed, with beachgoers directed around active work zones via ramps and signage. Construction is expected to proceed 24/7, moving at a pace of 200-300 feet per day, with minor disruptions lasting just a few days for any specific beachfront property

The project includes safeguards for endangered species. Activities are monitored by consultants to protect sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Per U.S. Army Corps and USFWS permit conditions, dog activity is restricted in a small area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek Beach Park. All other beaches remain under normal seasonal pet access rules.

We had a great time at this beautiful home! There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own spaces. The pool area is my favorite - it’s very spacious, and also very private. The home at 2 Royal Tern was exactly what we hoped for for our weeklong, multi-age family get-together. Plenty of room for our family of 14. The beds were very comfortable, and the family room accommodated all of us for our time together. The well-appointed kitchen was much appreciated. A very short walk to the beach allowed for multiple trips to beach during the day. Our favorite part of the house, for adults as well as children, was the pool area. The Island Time team was responsive to all our questions and requests and did so in a timely manner. We would definitely consider returning to this property.Posted: 8/5/2024

The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed. The bedding was very comfortable We greatly appreciated access to the 2-car garage which we used to store our bikes and beach gear when not in use. The pool was large with both shallow and deep ends and the area was well suited to outside dining. There was easy off-street access to the beach and the beach was never too crowded. Everything was clean and well maintained with the exception of some of the pool lounge chairs whose fabric had large rips/tears. Our only negatives were regarding some services. The pre-ordered dinner for our arrival on Saturday never showed up. I was able to get a refund without too much difficulty. The outside trash bins were packed full on our arrival and we received no trash service until 2 days before our departure and after multiple complaints. Our trash had to be left in bags on top of the bins and wild animals got into them creating a nasty mess. In addition to pool and beach, we enjoyed the South Beach Marina and Harbor Towne areas, golfing at Sea Pines, and miniature golf with the kids.Posted: 6/13/2024

We had a fabulous trip- hosted our two adult children, their spouses and my 84 year old mother. House was fabulous- very spacious, beautifully appointed, clean. The house is wonderful. Great location. Beach path access just a half a block down the street. Unfortunately they were repaving Sea Pines Drive the week we were there. Major bummer as the pool/patio is right off the street. No fault of the owners or property managers… this was just luck of the draw, and honestly didn’t really impact our enjoyment of the property. The house is well insulated for noise… really didn’t hear much from inside, even from the master bedroom that sits next to Sea Pines Drive. The house has tremendous living space with two living rooms (televisions in both), four fantastic bedrooms upstairs including an upstairs common room (again with another smart tv). The master bedroom is monstrous. Unlike other homes we’ve rented at Sea Pines in the past, you do get access to the garage, which was great to store bikes and beach gear safely out of the weather. The pool/patio and porch (with rocking chairs) is fantastic. The pool heat wasn’t on when we arrived and unfortunately required two days of down town to get fixed. The property manager responded quickly and made every effort to get it fixed quickly. So that was a bummer for the kids… but again, these this can happen, and they were responsive and handled the situation well. This was the best house and location that we’ve had at Sea Pines (yes, you pay for that)… but this was our last family spring break before our oldest goes off to college, so we splurged this time.Posted: 4/11/2024

This is a beautiful home and offers ample space for multiple couples to families to come together for a great vacation. The large kitchen with the L-shaped counter is perfect for visiting over drinks, snacks, or dinner. We found the kitchen to be very well stocked. The bedrooms are large, and the beds provide a good night's sleep. Each bedroom is equipped with plenty of sitting space as well which can supply those introverts with an escape from the crowds. We spent our afternoon and evenings around the pool and spa. The owner provided plenty of seating for lounging around the pool as well as pool toys for the swimmers. Even though the beach is a short walk, there is a wagon to assist with hauling chairs and coolers. I loved how there was space to sit without crowding others on the beach. The dolphins came through each day playing and jumping out of the water! For those active adults and children, there is ample opportunity for walking, biking, and golfing. Plenty of nearby restaurants offer great menus, but we ended up cooking most nights. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wishing to relax.Posted: 11/25/2022
This beach house is amazing! It is spacious and packed with every amenity. We enjoyed lounging by the gorgeous pool. I also liked going out in the morning to have my coffee on the secluded back porch. So peaceful! The rooms were huge and more than enough to accommodate our large group. I was so excited that there were hairdryers in every bathroom! What a nice touch! The kids loved hanging together in the upstairs sitting area. This beach house has so many amazing amenities. The pool is private with a beautiful deck. There is easy access to the beach and bike path. The kitchen has everything you need! A very short trip down a path to the beach, beautiful back yard and pool, bike paths just out the front door to anywhere and everywhere.
